Social networks connect us to countless people, communities and, if used wisely, can spread the word about you and your MiniBük to your target audience. The right messages can also build your fan base and drive traffic to your website and blog. A win-win-win!
The secret to social networking success is to keep messages brief, interesting and useful. It's also a fun-focused attempt to engage with your audience. With the right messages, your audience will be motivated to "Like", follow, connect, click on the link ... and buy your MiniBük!
With Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn being the most popular social networking sites, we've created a separate post with strategies for each ... including links to examples of MiniBük authors who are implementing them with success. Our mission ... to help authors get the biggest bang from their "Bük".
When you tweet effectively, you and your MiniBük will be more discoverable. Choosing words and topics of interest to your target market is key. The more interesting the information is to your target, the more likely your followers will click on your link ... and prospective followers will be to discover you and your MiniBük.
Strategy Tip #1: Create a series of tweets about your MiniBük. Include points of value and interest to your audience, that they will glean from reading your MiniBük. Schedule your tweets to post automatically every few weeks, using a scheduling tool like HootSuite or TweetDeck, and include a live link to your website product page where your MiniBük can be purchased ... like Margaret Reynolds does for her MiniBük series.
Note: MiniBük receives notifications when authors include "MiniBük" in their tweet. And when we do, we often retweet them ... like we have for Margaret Reynolds.
Strategy Tip #2: Use an application like TweetDeck or HootSuite to search and notify you when your name or MiniBük title is mentioned in tweets. Any mention, good or bad, is good PR for your MiniBük. Take advantage of each mention ... thank them with a reply, and open the door for dialogue. If the tweet is worthy of sharing ... retweet it.
Are you taking advantage of the promotional space your Twitter page offers ... for free?
To make implementing this strategy easier, MiniBük is providing authors with a JPEG cover thumbnail of their MiniBük ... sized and ready to post on their Twitter page.
